QTFSA focuses on the following objectives to support the queer and trans faculty and staff at Miami University: GLEAM became QTFSA and officially recognized as a Miami University faculty and staff association in 2020 with the intention of creating community and visibility for the queer and trans community at Miami University. Queer & Trans Faculty & Staff Association (QTFSA) was founded in 1999 as GLEAM (Gay and Lesbian Employees at Miami).
